2000 Toyota RAV4 - looked good in two tone red/silver, bought at a year old, it did not live up to Toyota's reputation for reliability.
1996 Toyota Carina e 1.8 CD - a vastly under-rated hatchback in a nice shade of red.
Rover 800 saloon - in white, a real dog, a crap example of the breed bought in a rush over a Christmas period.
Rover 800 hatchback - in red, bought at auction and a lovely example of the breed.
Ford Granada 2.8 GL - black with cloth interior, my first auto and oh so comfortable.
Datsun Stanza 1.6GL - light, pale metallic green with cream cloth interior. Nice! Yes, really!
Chrysler Alpine 1.6 - multiple shades of yellow, good & rapid when it went, easy to work on when it didn't.
Mini 1000 Estate - mid-blue. 40mpg and 80mpp, that's miles per pint of oil.
Bond 875 van - 3 wheels and lime green with 1 wheel at the front and a Hillman Imp engine at the back - rolled and written off.

Company cars I've endured:-
Vauxhall Astras - I got through 12 of these between June 1989 and June 1992
Rover 100 - I was supposed to have this for 2 weeks, it died after 4 days
Citroen Xantias - I got through 6 of these between Oct 1994 and February 1995, crap seats
Rover 400GLSD - this was so bad I returned it the next day, a tractor with leather seats
Ford Orion 1.8 Ghia - proved that Ford do know how to make a comfortable car

2002 BMW M3 coupe - in silver on the 52 plate, a real supercar.
2002 BMW 320D Tourer - in silver on the 52 plate, a real bargain bought for its combination of performance and economy.

2004 Honda Civic Type R - in black, a real performance hatchback that he:-
  • took all the crap stuff off and returned it to standard
  • added a superb (custom built) sound system

    • 1998 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi - his first ever car with low insurance, to which he:-
  • lowered the suspension
  • fitted aftermarket alloy wheels with low profile tyres
  • had the windows dark tinted all rouand (excluding windscreen)
  • replaced the standard audio system with a top-spec face-off unit, speakers and amp
    • For added security he:-
  • upgraded the standard security system from immobilizer only to Thatcham approved Category 1 Alarm & Immobilizer
  • fitted other security measures not detailed here for security reasons
    • The security work was done by a specialist firm and worked out cheaper than fitting an aftermarket alarm only system.
